Parent Involvement Policy

Parent Involvement Policy

South Lawn Elementary School

Statement of Purpose

South Lawn Elementary School is dedicated to graduate every student prepared for success beyond High School.  To accomplish this we will develop and maintain partnerships with all stakeholders including:  students, parents, and community members through successful communication and a variety of training and volunteer opportunities.

Parent Involvement in Developing the Policy

The South Lawn Site-Based Decision Making Team consists of parents, community members, and school personnel.  This team is integral in the development and implementation of our parent involvement policy.

Parent Meetings and Volunteer Opportunities

Annually South Lawn hosts a Title I parent information meeting, usually held within the first six weeks of school.  At this meeting parents are informed about the different requirements and benefits of being a Title I School-wide campus.  At each parent meeting a different group of students perform in order to increase attendance and involvement.
